Jamie Whittle - Principal Veterinary Surgeon

Jamie qualified from Liverpool in 2002 and worked at Whitworth Veterinary Practice for 9 years before he bought the practice in 2011 from Mr Whitworth.
Jamie has a keen interest in all aspects of small animal veterinary care and in particular preventative medicine.
Wendy and Jamie have organised charity dog shows at the practice and Jamie judged the summer Blue Cross dog show in 2011
Jamie also co-hosts the Animal Matters radio show every Wednesday on Felixstowe Radio

Julie Plumb - Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Julie qualified from Cambridge in 1976 and after a variety of jobs came to work in Felixstowe in1987.
She enjoys the variety of general practice and has special interests in exotics and in the use of acupuncture for pain relief.
In 2007she reduced her working hours to spend more time with her sheep.

Claire McConnell - Veterinary Surgeon
_ Claire joined the practice in 2010, shortly after graduating from the Royal Veterinary College.
In her free time she enjoys playing badminton, cycling and watching films.She also cares for her numerous pets which include two cats, snakes, toads, guinea pigs and mice.
At the moment she is enjoying all of her work but has a growing interest in feline medicine.

Jodie Cook - Veterinary Surgeon
_Jodie graduated from the Royal Veterinary College and joined the
practice in 2011.
She is currently enjoying small animal practice in general, with particular interests in medicine and diagnostic imaging.
Her spare time is spent painting and caring for her two mischievious rheas, as well as the dog, cats, chickens and quail she shares with her family

Tara Rowe - Registered Veterinary Nurse
_Tara has worked at Whitworth Vets since 2002. She studied at Writtle college in Chelmsford and qualified in 2005.
Her job role includes caring for hospitalised patients, maintaining general anaesthetics, assisting veterinary surgeons in theatre, stock control and ordering, running bloods, as well as many other nursing duties. Tara also holds nursing clinics on weekday afternoons.Tara has a naughty torti cat called Iris.

Jade Street - Trainee Veterinary Nurse
_Jade has worked at Whitworth Vets since 2010. Jade is currently
studying at Writtle college in Chelmsford and is enjoying every aspect
of the job to become a fully qualified nurse.
Working closely with Tara the veterinary nurse as well as Jamie the vet, who is her clinical coach, she gains practical experience onsite.
Jade has a cheeky cat called Ollie and a bearded dragon called Draco.

Laura Marsh - Receptionist
_Laura has worked at Whitworth Vets since 2007. Her job role includes
booking patients in, answering telephones, greeting customers, taking
payments and organising the vets consulting rooms.
Laura has two lovely German Shepherds called Max and Sadie, and a rabbit called Charlie.
