Tolerance & Harassment Policy
Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment for All
At Whitworth Veterinary Practice Ltd our mission is to provide the highest standard of care for your pets—and that includes creating a welcoming, safe environment for our clients, staff, and animals alike.
We are committed to treating every person and pet with kindness, respect, and professionalism. In return, we ask that our clients help us maintain this positive atmosphere by adhering to the following standards.
What We Expect From Our Clients:
Treat all team members and other clients with courtesy and respect.
Use appropriate language and behaviour while on our premises (including parking areas).
Understand that our staff are here to help, and may need time and information to do so effectively.
Respect our protocols and procedures, which are designed to keep everyone safe—humans and animals alike.
Zero Tolerance for Harassment or Abuse:
We do not tolerate any form of the following, under any circumstances:
Verbal abuse, yelling, threats, or intimidation
Discriminatory remarks or behaviour (based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc.)
Harassment, including inappropriate language or gestures
Physical aggression or threatening behaviour toward staff, other clients, or animals
Any such behaviour may result in the immediate termination of the client-veterinary relationship and refusal of future service and we may call the police to assist.
Supporting Our Team:
Veterinary professionals face emotionally and physically demanding work every day. Supporting their wellbeing ensures the best care for your pets. We stand firmly behind our team’s right to work in an environment free from hostility or fear.
